Order Processing Clerk
Location: London WC1X 8SP Salary: £18,000 – £22,000PA
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00

About the Role:
Established in 1917, William Channon provides security and architectural ironmongery solutions to a vast array of clients, including those in the education, entertainment and health sectors.
The Sales Order Processing Clerk liaises closely with clients throughout the processing of their orders, from checking the accuracy of their requirements through fulfilment and to dispatch and delivery.
• Receiving and authenticating client orders;
• Recording order details on our Sage financial software;
• Liaising with internal departments & external suppliers to allocate goods/services;
• Keeping in regular contact with clients with updates;
• Arrange order dispatch;
• Follow up with client for feedback & comments.
You will be part of a small dedicated team servicing our clients in London and the South East. Full training is provided, and industry education programmes are available, which you are encouraged to follow.
• An aptitude for great customer service;
• Clear communication skills;
• IT skills (using email, word processors & spreadsheets).
• 5 GCSE’s at Grade A-C including English and Maths
• Previous experience of working in an office environment
• Attentiveness & patience;
• Time management skills;
• Ability to use positive language;
• Goal-oriented focus;
• Willingness to learn.

Recent developments include ironmongery special finishes and electromechanical/electronic security – areas that William Channon have fully embraced to satisfy client needs. Examples of such include the re-emergence of satin brass and bronze as popular finishes, and an increasing demand for electronic and/or mechatronic cylinder locking systems.
Recent major contract awards in the education and entertainment sectors will continue to keep our team busy for the foreseeable future.
